Playback behavior
How Disc Mode Works
Disc playback takes priority without disconnecting your Bluetooth device.
Insert a discJukeblox identifies the compatible disc and starts its song.
Disc takes priorityBluetooth remains connected, but phone audio is paused from the speaker.
Remove the discThe disc song stops and Bluetooth audio becomes available again.
The disc song repeats while the disc remains inserted.
Press Mode to use Bluetooth without removing the disc; press it again to return to disc playback.
Swapping directly from one compatible disc to another stops the old song and starts the replacement disc.
An unsupported or unreadable disc is ignored, so Bluetooth can continue playing.
Bluetooth stays paired: In normal disc mode, Jukeblox mutes Bluetooth audio rather than disconnecting your device.

Audio feedback
What the Sounds Mean
Startup cues tell you whether disc mode is ready. Bluetooth cues confirm connection status.
Normal startup soundA short Minecraft villager “huh” sound means the disc system passed its startup checks and Jukeblox is ready.
Error sound at startupA voice says “Disc system unavailable.” Disc playback will not be available while this error is present, but Bluetooth speaker mode should still start.
Bluetooth connected soundA Minecraft villager-style voice says “Bluetooth connected.”
Bluetooth disconnected soundA Minecraft villager-style voice says “Bluetooth disconnected.”
Bluetooth connection sounds may be skipped while a disc song is actively playing.

Troubleshooting and FAQ
Try these steps before contacting support.
Confirm that Jukeblox is powered on, then look for JUKEBLOX_BT_XXXX. Move your device closer and refresh the Bluetooth list.
If Jukeblox was paired before, it may reconnect automatically to a nearby device. Temporarily turn Bluetooth off on that device.
Turn Bluetooth off and back on on the device you are trying to pair.
Unplug Jukeblox, plug it back in, and wait for the startup sound before searching again.
Make sure JUKEBLOX_BT_XXXX is selected as the audio-output device.
Turn up the volume on your phone, tablet, or computer.
If a disc is inserted, remove it or press the Mode button to allow Bluetooth audio.
Pause and replay the audio, then disconnect and reconnect Bluetooth if needed.
Open System Settings > Sound > Output and select JUKEBLOX_BT_XXXX. Then make sure the Mac’s output volume is turned up and replay the audio.
Confirm it is a compatible Jukeblox disc from the supported list above.
Remove the disc, wait a moment, and insert it again.
Try another compatible disc to determine whether the issue is limited to one disc.
Restart Jukeblox. If you hear “Disc system unavailable” at startup, disc playback will not work while the error is present. Bluetooth should still work; contact support if the message returns after a restart.
This is normal. A recognized disc automatically takes priority while Bluetooth stays connected. Remove the disc to return to Bluetooth, or press Mode to hear Bluetooth while leaving the disc inserted.
The physical volume buttons work only while a disc song is playing. During Bluetooth playback, use the volume controls on your connected phone, tablet, or computer.
The Mode button is active only when a compatible disc has been recognized. Insert a disc and wait for its song to begin, then press Mode to switch to Bluetooth. Press it again to return to the disc.
For Bluetooth audio, lower the volume on the connected device. For disc audio, press the − button several times. Very high source or disc volume can cause clipping and distortion.
The spoken message “Disc system unavailable” means Jukeblox detected a problem with the disc reader, music storage, or required track files. Disc playback will not be available while this error is present. Bluetooth speaker mode should still start after the message.
Restart once. If the message returns, contact support with your order number and a short video showing startup.
This is expected after the song reaches the end. Jukeblox repeats the song continuously while the disc remains inserted.
Still having trouble? Restart Jukeblox, reconnect Bluetooth, and try a second compatible disc before contacting support. These checks help identify whether the issue is related to the connected device, one disc, or the jukebox itself.
